Grant Guidlines

►  Once a buyer is approved for Grant Funds, buyer must be ready to purchase within 90 days.

►  Grant funds are distributed only to a WAHomeGrants.com approved Escrow Company, Title Company, Attorney or State appointed closing agent.

►  Grant funds are gift funds that can not be repaid to WAHomeGrants.com or to the Non-Profit agency that provided those funds.

►  If the buyer does not purchase or a home purchase does not close, the closing company must return gift funds within 24 hours of the next business day.

► Grant money that is issued under fraudulent or false pretenses will be cancelled and the buyer can not apply for Grant Funds again through WAHomeGrants.com .

►  Homes purchased using the Grant Funds provided by WAHomeGrants.com must be owner occupied.  Second homes, rentals, and vacation homes are not eligible through this program.  Please contact us for other programs available for these purchases.

►  Grant Funds are not transferable.  Any additional buyers that wish to be added after Grant approval must apply for Grant Funds and be approved through WAHomeGrants.com.

►  Grant Funds are given to a buyer provided the buyer is qualified by a lender that is approved by WAHomeGrants.com.  Buyers are not required to use Real Estate Agents approved by WAHomeGrants.com but are encouraged to use a Preferred Real Estate Agent that has been approved and trained by WAHomeGrants.com.  A list of these agents is available in the Preferred Agents section of this site.
